Who are we?

We are a distributed team made up of astrophotographers, computer scientists, and astronomers.

What are we doing?

We will be collecting observations of the expected outburst from T Coronae Borealis (T CrB), a recurrent nova in the constellation Corona Borealis. The primary observation method will be photometry through the use of telescopes with monochrome and OSC (one shot color) cameras.

When will we do it?

We will be observing T CrB before, during, and after the nova, gathering data utilizing different filters provided by research partners. The exact dates of the nova event are unknown but it is predicted to occur sometime between May 2024 and September 2024.

Where are we doing it?

The data collection process will take place around the world. The exact locations of where data will be collected is dependent on the locations of the amateur and professional astronomers who decide to participate in this effort.

Why are we doing it?

We hope that with enough volunteers, we will have a high chance of seeing T CrB go nova LIVE. This will make history, as this system has never been photographed during its nova.

How do I get involved?
